If you wish to pursue this career in Taiwan, you would also need Mandarin Chinese skills. Even with that, it’s very hard to find such work here, as most jobs would go to Taiwanese who are native-born Chinese speakers and have had 6+ years of daily education classes in English. I won’t say it’s impossible to secure work, but the odds are far against you doing so.

Hmm… lots of expats would value an english speaking computer tech. Few of them will pay, however.
NTU has some good computer science programs.
Computer tech is a fairly all-encompassing term. Do you want to LEARN how to be a computer tech or are you already trained and qualified and you just want a local qualification?
Most people here won’t care about your papers, they would only want someone to fix their notebook or recommend programs to them that are user friendly. Generally computer techs in Taiwan don’t make alot, probably between 20k to 30k NT$ a month.
Teaching makes better money. You can try and start a business on the side and see if you can eke out enough profit.
For most average Taiwanese computer consultant companies, they will not value your english unless you are teaching them how to use a program that is only published in English.
If you want to get into programming, do computer science. Thats the only option that would get you any cash. (possibly) Then you are best to create your own new, program that does something no other program does or is more user friendly than the other programs that already do the task. That pretty much is the only way to make lots of cash quickly in computers these days.
